Ninga Hill is a stunning yet remote community perched at about 1800 meters above sea level, relying on the nearby Bukeye Washing Station located just six kilometers away. This community is one of several “hill” groups that partner with the Long Miles Coffee Project (LMCP) in the region.
Founded by Ben and Kristy Carlson, LMCP is powered by a young, vibrant team committed to quality in both coffee and community development. Their vision aligns closely with ours, highlighting the profound connection between coffee, people, and potential—an ethos we’ve happily shared in our multi-year partnership with them.
On Ninga Hill, farmers handpick ripe coffee cherries and bring them to the Bukeye station, where the fruit undergoes meticulous sorting and processing. Most of the coffee is fully washed, though certain lots are processed as honey or naturals. In every case, rigorous sorting and a careful post-fermentation rinse lead to exceptionally bright and clean coffees.
